In AWR, the ‘Host CPU’ table comes under the ‘Report Summary’ section. Refer to the below figure:
The following metrics are available in the ‘Host CPU’ table of an AWR report:
CPUs
The number of CPUs is the product of the number of cores and threads available on the database server.
Formula: CPU = Number of Core X Number of Threads per core
CPU = 2 X 2 => 4
Cores
Number of cores on the database server.
Sockets
Number of sockets on the database server.
Load Average Begin / End
Ideally, the load average (Begin or End) should be less than the no. of cores.
%User
CPU Utilization Load (in percentage) on the DB server
%System
CPU Utilization due to system (in percentage) on the DB server
%idle
It provides the percentage of idle CPU.
